SIX x-clear acts now as Central Counterparty for LSE

We are pleased to announce that on 12 December 2008 we received the first trade information flow from the London Stock Exchange (LSE) to allow for the clearing of executed transactions for the UK market. The receipt of the information, provision of netting and risk management were smoothly accomplished, resulting in a successful first day of settlement on Wednesday, 17 December 2008.

This move allows SIX x-clear members to benefit from economies of scale by clearing both their Swiss and UK transaction flows through the same CCP.

We are confident that more and more customers will take the opportunity to clear their transactions through us in the future.
